Mouzalas: They asked me to build a refugee camp for 400,000 in Athens

The issue of creating a camp for 300,000 to 400,000 immigrants in Athens was raised by the Belgian Minister of the Interior, on Monday, at the Council on immigration in Amsterdam, according to what the Deputy Minister of Immigration Policy Yannis Mouzalas stated to SKAI,

"The Schengen zone is endangered throughout Europe, Europe is threatened, Europe is afraid, worried," said the minister, recognizing that "it is a difficult situation for our country in terms of refugees".

As Yannis Mouzalas also announced the hotspots will be ready by late February and in early March, they will be functional.

At the same time, British newspaper Financial Times talks of a 'debt exchange' for refugees, for as long as necessary for Greece.

The article talks about the creation of a vast refugee and immigrant detention center to rid Europe of refugees, and in return Europe should proceed to brave haircut of Greek debt.

EU officials are known to consider 'sealing' the border between Greece and FYROM, which is the main route to the north. According to the publication of the Financial Times, the plan "is believed to have the support of Berlin."

"It is outrageous to become the prison and exile in Europe for remuneration" commented Mr. Mouzalas reacting to the publication.
