Pserimos Devastated by Weather

The remote island of Pserimos has been declared in an emergency situation because of the damage wrought by extreme weather in just under an hour.
The island, home to just 50 people was devastated by flash downpours, while the islands of Rhodes. Kos, and Kalymnos, are also experiencing serious problems.
Interior minister Yannis Mihelakis is on Rhodes, along with fire department forces and officials to register damage.
The interior ministry, yesterday, decided to fund the Southern Aegean Periphery with 150,000 euros immediately to cover first expenses from the devastation.
