ND polling 3.8% ahead of Syriza in new poll

New Democracy is polling ahead of Syriza in the vote intention according to a new poll by Alco conducted in March 15-17 for a Sunday newspaper.
In particular, ND is shown at 21.1% (vs. 21.3% in mid-January), with Syriza at 17.3% (vs. 18% in January). The far-right Golden Dawn is third at 6.1% and is followed by the Democratic coalition (alliance of PASOK and Democratic Left; at 3.6%) and the Communist Party (5%). To Potami (1.8%), Independent Greeks (2.2%), the Center Union (2.6%) and Popular Unity (2.2%) are all below the 3% threshold that secures entry in Parliament.
Asked to express their preference regarding possible political developments, the majority of people asked (38%) would prefer the formation of a new Government in the current Parliament, 22% would rather have the current Government continue and 21% would prefer new elections.
