Greece's weather service warned that conditions would deteriorate from Tuesday, with temperatures dropping significantly in most parts of the country, following a series of serious flash floods over the last two weeks.
The National Meteorological Service (EMY) predicted that snow is likely to fall in parts of Macedonia, Thessaly, eastern Greece, Evia and the Peloponnese. Gale force winds are also predicted in the Aegean Sea.
Temperatures are expected to drop between six and eight degrees Celsius around the country.
