Theodorakis Becomes Academy Member

Mikis Theodorakis will be welcomed by the Athens Academy as a new member emeritus during an open plenum on Tuesday at 19.00 pm.
Academy president Spyros Evangelatos will address members, and initiate Mikis Theodorakis, who will be followed by secretary general Vasilios Petrakos who will speak of the composer's life and works.
Mikis Theodorakis will then speak on the subject "The Only Solution".
A concert with songs and music by Mikis Theodorakis from plays and films will take place on Thursday, 5 December, at the Piraeus Municipal Theater, at 21.00 pm.
