The course of the Greek programme and the issue of the debt relief will be discussed at the europarliament plenum in September, said europarliament vice president and SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis to radio "Praktoreio 104.9" on Friday.
Commenting on the report of the IMF independent evaluation office report on the mistakes in the Greek fiscal adjustment programme, he called it positive that the report was released. "I expected from Ms Lagarde and the IMF officials to insist on the debt relief in the discussion that will be held in September".
Referring to the developments in Turkey, he called the situation 'alarming' and referred to a pogrom adding as vice president of the europarliament that if the Turkish leadership reintroduces the death penalty then "any discussion on Turkey's European perspective will be automatically interrupted ".
Commenting German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble's initiative sanctions not to be imposed on Spain, Papadimoulis said that Schaeulbe showed 'flexibility' because his political friend Mr. Rajoy is trying to form a government in Spain.
