Marco Veremis Enterpreneur of the Year 2013

Marco Veremis is Upstream’s President and the company’s co-founder.Upstream is one of the 5 largest mobile marketing companies in the world.

Upstream counts amongst its clients leading mobile network operators including Vodafone, Telecom Italia, T-Mobile, Telefonica, MTN, STC and America Movil.

Marco Veremis, as an experienced marketing strategist at leading advertising agencies Grey Advertising, McCann-Ericsson and DDB in London, Marco developed global and pan-european communications strategies for brands such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Sony and SmithKline Beecham. Marco holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Studies from Warwick University and a Masters of Philosophy in European Studies from Oxford University.

Marco Veneris was born in Athens in 1973. He is a graduate of the Athens College School, as well as of the Universities of Warwick and Oxford where he got his Bachelor degree in Politics and International Studies and his Master’s in European Studies respectively.He started his working experience as a salesman at the company OTIS C. VEREMIS S.A., as well as a researcher for the Parliament of the representatives of the U.S.A.

After the completion of his studies, he worked in London for the advertising agencies McCann-Ericsson, Grey Advertising and DDB as Account Planner and Senior Account Planner for the development of the advertising and communication strategy of the following companies «Nestle», «The Coca-Cola Company», «Smithkline Beecham», «Johnson & Johnson» and «Sony Electronics».

Married to Elli, he has two children, Thanos and Maria Louisa.Upstream pstream is a mobile monetization powerhouse.
