Labour union PAME calls for mass participation in anti-Obama rally on Tuesday
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Labour union PAME announced it will hold a rally in Omonia square, central Athens, on Tuesday, to protest the two-day visit of U.S. President Barack Obama to Athens.
The union criticizes the government for banning rallies and protests in central Athens during the visit and calls on public and private labour unions to respond with “a mass participation in the rally”. PAME also described Obama as “the main representative of imperialistic forces” who is coming to Greece “to ensure the effectiveness of imperialistic plans in the region and our country’s more active participation in them”.
The rally will start at 18:30.
