Investment opportunities on Greek islands

The Island Tourism Entrepreneurship scheme is offering significant opportunities for funding as islanders and prospective investors will be financed with a total of 80 million euros, for 165 different professions, in 8 sectors.
Loans from the funding will be without interest for businesses on islands with fewer than 3,100 inhabitants, while for islands with a larger population interest will stand at 2.8%.
The funding will cover businesses that produce:
edible consumables
refreshments, beer, bottled water,
perfumes and candles,
decorative items,
retail trade,
vehicle rentals (including seaborne vehicles),
tourism services involving food service, entertainment, and function organization.

Each business can receive up to 30,000 euros in financing, with a four year repayment period as long as recipients are based in Greece. For entrepreneurial development loans recipients must be based on the specific islands, while for investment loans recipients could be base elsewhere in Greece as long as their investments are on the islands.
The activities that will be chosen will be prioritized according to if they deal with:
establishing, revamping, renewal, renovation of buildings and facilities.
Machinery and infrastructure
Tech know how royalties
Systems certification
promotion, advertising
Fiscal and commercial activities.
