Athens Half Marathon

The 6th Athens Half Marathon, the city's annual major spring sports event, was held on Sunday 19 March. 21,000 runners took part in the four races which was organised by the Municipality of Athens, Attica region and the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS).
Yiannis Zervakis (1.09.03) was the winner of the Half Marathon followed by Costas Gelaouzos (1.09.04) and Rania Rebouli (1.19.44) won the women's race.
The start of the Half Marathon and the 5km race was at Syntagma square at 09:00.
A 3.0 km race and a 1.0 km race for children and people with disabilities were also included in the programme. The finishing line for athletes in all three races was on Amalias Avenue, in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Greek Parliament.
