Colour Day festival brightens Olympic stadium
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Young revelers threw coloured powder and danced at the third "Colour Day Festival" in Athens on Saturday, an eight-hour summer event with DJ sets, bands and dancing held each June at the open-area of the OAKA stadium, in the northern suburb of Marousi.
The main attraction is the paint war among the youngsters who are supplied with satchels full of powder when they enter the venue, which create colourful clouds when they are thrown in the air.
A similar event is also held abroad where it is referred to as the Holi Festival Of Colours.
