Dombrovskis urges Greek authorities to swiftly resolve issue with HRADF consultants

There has to be a swift resolution of the issue that has arisen with the charges against three foreign consultants of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis noted on Thursday.

He noted, however, that things were on the right track and that the Commission expected the disbursement to take place very soon.
The disbursement of the first installment of loans to Greece amounting to 7.7 billion euros is to be among issued discussed at a Eurogroup Working Group meeting in Brussels on Thursday.
Eurozone sources told press soutces that several member-states have made final approval of the disbursement contingent on dropping the charges against the three staff members of the institutions that had acted as consultants to the HRADF.
The final formal approval of the disbursement is due to be given by the European Stability Mechanism's board after it is first approved by national parliaments. If things go smoothly, the disbursement is expected to take place around mid July.
