Israeli president in Athens under strict security measures

Israeli President Reuben Riblin arrived in Athens on Sunday evening, under strict security measures, .
Mr. Riblin is on an official visit to Greece and has already lodged in a central Athens hotel.
On Monday, Mr. Riblin will have a meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at 12:40 at his office at the Maximos Mansion.
On Tuesday, January 30th, the Prime Minister and the President of Israel will attend the ceremony of laying the foundation stone at the Holocaust Museum erection site at 11:15 in Thessaloniki.
Due to the two-day visit to Athens by the President of Israel, following the invitation of the President of the Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulou, Greek police enforced tight security measures.
Exceptional traffic arrangements are in force as of Monday morning due to his visit, while it is indicative that from 9 am on Monday the Syntagma metro station will remain closed.
In addition, the Presidential Palace and the "Grand Bretagne" hotel, where Mr. Riblin will reside, in Syntagma Square, with many police officers on guard.
In fact, vehicles already parked in various parts of the center of Athens are removed by police tow trucks.
For a few minutes, traffic on Attiki Odos was interrupted as Reuven Riblin arrived on Sunday evening at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, heading for Athens and the Grand Bretagne Hotel.
