USN Carson City docks at Syros

One of the USN's most modern warshipsm the Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport, currently in service with the Military Sealift Command, USN Carson City docked at the port of Syros.
With his post on his Twitter account, US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt expressed his thanks to Regional Governor George Chatzimarkos for the strong support of the South Aegean Region in Hellenic American co-operation. He also expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Syros - Ermoupolis, Giorgos Marangos for the reception and noted: "Having visited the island, I know that our sailors will enjoy the unique beauty and hospitality of its inhabitants. We will look for opportunities for future visits. "
