Man shot in Kifissia home by intruders

Armed robbers entered a house on Monday morning in Kifissia, with the perpetrators shooting the owner.
According to information, the perpetrators invaded the victim's home as he slept with his wife and children.
But when the man realized the intruderd had ntered his homs, the invaders shot him twice in the back and then disappeared.
The state of his health was critical, making necessary a seven hour surgery as he had suffered wounds to several major organs including his liver.
The first estimate by the police is that it is a robbery, but for now all the possibilities remain open.
This latest incident comes after a police announcement, according to which victims of breaking and entering should lie low and pretend to be asleep. That announcement was issued after an 88-year old that shot at two intruders in his home. The elderly man was incarcerated, while the perpetrators were set free until a hearing.
The issue is becoming controversila as crimes against property and life are rising, perpetrated by locals and foreigners alike.
