US UCAVs start flights from Larissa base

The green light was given yesterday for US drones to begin flights from Larissa, central Greece.
In particular, unmanned US Air Force aircraft will begin - even today - their action at the Larissa military airport following a decision taken at yesterday's meeting of senior US officials with the Civil and Military Leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
The Memorandum of Understanding with the Greek Air Force provides for co-training with the Greek Unmanned Aircraft (Pegasus), which is based at 110 Fighter Wing of Larissa.
In theory, the collaboration will last for 6 months, but it is more likely that 110 FW will become the "permanent basis" of the American MQ-9s.
