Hellenic Airforce purchases Italian training aircraft

The Hellenic Airforce said on Thursday that it has purchased 12 new airplanes from Italian aeronautics manufacturer Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam to meet pilot training needs without disclosing the amount involved.

The new airplanes will replace the air force’s T-41D planes that have been in use since 1969. The first four planes will be delivered in September with the remainder expected by the end of the year.
