Hellenic Navy staging evacuation of fire victims by sea

Warships and landing craft are headed for trapped residents for a rescue attempt from the beaches in Zoumperi, Attica.
According to sources of the Ministry of Defense, the Hellenic Armed Forces General Staff accepted a request and navy ships were assigned to the task. The frigate "Elli" and the LST "Ikaria" are heading to Zoumperi in order to assist in the the evacuation of residents that fled to the beach to protect themselves from the fire. There are doctors onboard to offer first aid.
Earlier, Speedrunner ferry scheduled to land at the port of Rafina saw five people ate sea. The ship immediately slowed down and dropped a rescue boat which saved them, took them onboard and waited for orders from the port to hand them over to a boat or to dock at Rafina to disembark them. The ship still seems to be in the area.
The people involved are a Danish couple and their three children. It is still unknown if they fled to the sea to escape the fire.who are unknown how they were at sea.
Earlier, it was reported that ten tourists fled to a boat to avoid the fire, and rowed to sea. It is notclear if the persons rescued have to do with this group.
