Rouvikonas disrupts church services
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The anarchist collective 'Rouvikonas' on Sunday claimed that its members were responsible for an "intervention" at Agios Nikolaos Church in the Athens district of Exarchia, during the Sunday service, in a post on an anti-establishment website.
The Rouvikonas members interrupted the liturgy shouting slogans against the Church and the priest claiming that he was turning out homeless persons from a church hospice. As had already become known before the intervention, the specific church was renting a space for the homeless, with the owner wishing the building back for other uses. Hospices had already been found for the homelss being evicted.
