The US State Department thanked Greece’s former Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias for his contribution to the strengthening of US-Greek relations and the signing of the Prespes Agreement.
In reply to a question raised by a reporter of ΑΝΑ, a State Department official thanked the Greek minister for his dedicated services, stressing that the US continue to support the full implementation of the agreement.
"The US strongly supports the agreement’s full implementation, which will allow 'Macedonia' to take its rightful place in NATO and the EU as the Republic of North Macedonia," the official said.
"We urge leaders to rise above partisan politics and seize this historic opportunity to secure a brighter future for the country,' the official added.
