Tsipras accepts Kammenos resignation calls for vote of confidence

PM Alexis Tsipras accepted the resignation of Panos Kammenos and will accept the resignations of all ANEL executives if they are tendered, as he said after his meeting with the former Minister of Defense.
The prime minister warmly thanked Panos Kammenos and made it clear that he would ask for a vote of confidence from the House with the aim of keeping the government in power until October 2019. He also said that the new Defense Minister will be the current chief of the Armed Forces Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis.
Kammenos' statements
"I met with the Prime Minister, we had a fairly long discussion, there was a collaboration for four years, a national unity government, a government of national consensus, two parties from different places, and we managed to get Greece out of the memorandums, the first target was achieved, "said Panos Kammenos exiting the Maximos Megaron, where he met with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
"The issue of Macedonia, an issue for which thousands died, does not allow me to not sacrifice the chair. Detailed announcements will be made at the press conference in a while," the chairman of ANEL added.
"I thanked the Prime Minister for the cooperation and I explained to him that the national issue can not continue this cooperation. ANEL, is leaving the government," concluded Kammenos.
