Former independent deputy Aristides Fokas has joined ANEL. Mr. Fokas announced his accession to ANEL this morning, coming to the House. On his side Panos Kammenos welcomed him to ANEL.

Yesterday, Aristides Fokas had insinuated he would join ANEL, declaring willing to cooperate "with anyone in the democratic arc resisting the Prespa Agreement", answering a question on whether he would work with Panos Kammenos.

The independent MP who had been elected to the Centrist Party, yesterday had congratulated Panos Kammenos on his resignation saying that "it is in his honor that he has resigned as minister. He may not have resigned for tax increases, but when we talk about a national issue, you do not factor in positions and officialdom."

With the accession of Aristides Fokas, the ANEL parliamentary group increases to 6 MPs. Yesterday, Panos Kammenos deleted Elena Kountoura and Vassilis Kokkalis, who said they would vote for confidence in the government.

Mr. Kammenos welcoming Aristide Fokas to ANEL, said he was very happy that the MP responded to his call "to join forces and fight with the opposition and opposition."
