Search for 22 missing refugees near Samos in progress

Search and rescue operations (SAR( are underway for the detection of a rubber dinghy which was reportedly carrying about 22 refugees/illegal immigrants between the island of Samos and Agathonisi in the eastern Aegean.
One of the missing immigrants on board the boat contacted the Greek Coast Guard via the emergency 3-digit European number 112.
Three boats of the Hellenic Coast Guard and another vessel part of the SAR operations. So far, the weather conditions are favourable.
