Kos municipality against closed pre-departure center on the island

The municipal council of Kos is against the establishment of a closed pre-departure center on the island, as it dealt extensively with the issue at its meeting.
"We ask for the support of all the municipalities across the country in the difficult times our islands are going through. In any case, united and in solidarity, we will address this important problem of security and prosperity. We call on the government not to go ahead with its announcements and we are urging the Dodecanese MPs to meet in Kos, with the participation of the leaders of the municipal factions as well," says the resolution adopted by a majority vote in the municipality of Kos. .
