Russian destroyer docks in Piraeus

One of the "prides" of the Russian North Sea Fleet has anchored In Piraeus today .
Russia's destroyer "Vice Admiral Kulakov" will remain in Piraeus until January 17. The reception of the Russian ship will be attended by the Russian Ambassador to Greece, Andrei Maslov, who met with Foreign Minister Nikolas Dendias.
The continued presence of Russian Navy ships in the Mediterranean aims, inter alia, to safeguard the national interests of the Russian Federation, to support the operations of the Russian Armed Forces against international terrorist organizations, and to develop cooperation with friendly countries, according to the Russian Navy.
