Foreign Ministry: A violator of international law can't give lessons in legality
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
It is at the very least an oxymoron to have Turkey, the violator of international law par excellence in the region, give lessons in international legality, the Greek Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
Responding to Turkish FM statements on Saturday that Greece was 'sabotaging' the efforts of peace in Libya, the Greek Foreign Ministry responded, "It is at the very least an oxymoron to have the violator par excellence of international legality in our region provide lessons of international legality."
The ministry said that Greece's consistent concern was not to exercise policy through baseless and provocative statements, but to apply those steps that safeguard security and stability for the entire region.
