SYRIZA spokesman derides gov't plan on sea barrier for migrants

A government plan to set up a marine barrier to restrict migration flows "shows the Mitsotakis government has lost the ball," SYRIZA press spokesman Alexis Charitsis said on Friday.
"The government plan for a floating barrier in the Aegean Sea, in order to allegedly restrict migration flows, shows that the Mitsotakis government has lost the ball, not just the football game," the main opposition spokesman said, hinting at a football regulation passed in Parliament on Thursday.
"These acts show the anxiety of the New Democracy to show its effectiveness in resolving the refugee issue, following the consecutive deadlocks it has come to after just six months of rule," Charitsis added.
