Regional gov'r of central Macedonia Tzitzikostas elected president of CoR

Regional governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas was elected president of the European Committee of the Regions. Tzitzikostas is the first Greek that assumes this post succeeding Belgian Karl-Heinz Lambertz.
Tzitzikostas' candidancy was supported by all the political groups of the European Committee of the Regions after their political consensus.
First vice-president of the European Committee of the Regions was elected the regional governor of the Azores Vasco Cordeiro.
