Girl missing since Christmas found in France

The 7-year-old Valentine was in Lyon and reportedly her father, Abelka, had sent her with fake documents to his partner in France.

The 7-year-old's father was detained and, after a marathon deposition with authorities, he was now expected to take the case to the prosecutor, which will be done later in the day.

The scenario of the father moving Valentin to France with false documents, possibly intending to join her later, was already considered possible.

Abelka was summoned by police as a witness to explain his appearance at the airport the day after the child's disappearance and again after three days, as well as why he had gone to France a few months before the child's disappearance.
