Varvitsiotis discusses migration crisis with the US Dept. of State's Matthew Palmer

Alternate Foreign Affairs Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis on Thursday discussed the current migration crisis in Greece with visiting Deputy Assistant State Secretary Matthew Palmer, of the US State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.
Varvitsiotis briefed Palmer on the current situation at the Greek-Turkish borders and on the measures taken by the Greek government to effectively protect the borders, which are also the EU's external borders.
EU's enlargement in the western Balkans and the latest developments in the southeastern Mediterranean were also discussed.
