"Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' determination in Evros and the battle against the coronavirus expresses all the Greeks and turned Greece from a black sheep into a positive example worldwide," Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos said in an interview with Kathimerini newspaper on Sunday.
Theodorikakos referred to Mitsotakis' determination to be one of the first leaders to take measures against the spread of coronavirus so early.
The minister estimated that the difficult part is ahead of us and called on the Greek citizens to be vigilant and to strictly comply with the measures. "It is a challenge for all of us. Complacency may be proved disastrous," he said.
He also said that the eurobond is necessary stressing the need for the support of the economies against the repercussions of the pandemic.
Theodorikakos also stated that the next day of the pandemic, the economy will be deeply wounded and the society will need a realistic recovery plan through a fair agreement.
