Several areas of the country without power due to severe weather

Several areas of the country are facing power problems, due to the severe weather front "Medea" which brought heavy snowfall and polar temperatures.
In Attica in the areas of Ekali, Drosia, Agios Stefanos, Rodopolis, Stamata, Markopoulos Oropou, Kapandriti, Avlona, and Kalamos, there are problems with the electricity supply with power regulator crews trying to repair the damage.
Where else are there problems with electricity
In the rest of Greece, most of the problems are currently located in Evia where the wave of bad weather is severe and power crews face serious access problems to repair damage due to snowfall mainly in the northern part of villages near Edipsos and Mantoudi.
Additional power supply problems are presented by the central and eastern part of Zagori, part of the municipality of Tzoumerka and Mesopyrgos Arta.
In the Region of Macedonia Thrace but also in the islands, no serious electricity problems have arisen.
The Sporades have no electricity
Regarding the electricity supply of the Sporades, repair crews in collaboration with the Fire Department are making superhuman efforts to reach the points of the Network that have been damaged by the fall of trees and to proceed to the repair of the damages.
The entire potential of power regulator DEDDHE will continue at a steady pace the efforts to repair all the damage caused to the Network by the severe bad weather throughout the day. It is noted that the task of repairing the damage is extremely difficult in several areas, mainly in mountainous areas, due to the inability to access the road network.
