- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The Irish Embassy in Athens marked the birthday of writer Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) in Dublin with an excerpt from his poem "Impression du Voyage" on Twitter:
'And a red sun upon the seas to ride,
I stood upon the soil of Greece at last!'
It was accompanied by a photograph of the author in traditional Greek costume, taken in Athens in 1877.
