The strength of the Greek merchant fleet was stable in January

The strength of the Greek merchant fleet showed signs of stability during the first month of the year.
In particular, according to Hellenic Statistical Authority ELSTAT, the strength of the Greek merchant fleet in January 2022, compared to the corresponding lists of January 2021, did not show any change.
A decrease of 1.8% was recorded in the corresponding comparison of the year 2021 to 2020.
The Total Capacity of the Greek merchant fleet, concerning ships of 100 GRT and above, showed a decrease of 1.9% in January 2022 compared to the corresponding capacity of January 2021.
A decrease of 4.7% was recorded during the corresponding comparison of the year 2021 to 2020.
