Top govt, military delegation visits Souda Bay amid Greek-US joint military exercise

Greece’s top political and military leadership on Tuesday visited the Souda Bay airbase on Crete, as the specific facility is hosting the Greek-US joint training exercise “Poseidon’s Rage 22”.
Souda Bay hosts the the Hellenic (Greek) Air Force’s 115 Combat Wing.
The delegation included FM Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, Deputy Defense Minister Nikos Hardalias, the chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Gen. Konstantinos Floros, the chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Lt.-Gen. Themistoklis Bourolias as well as the US ambassador to Greece, George Tsunis.
Several USAF F-35 fighter jets are set to participate in the exercise.
