PM Mitsotakis attending European Council in Brussels
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is heading for the European Council in Brussels on Thursday and Friday, where he will present his position calling for the start of a substantive discussion on the rules of economic governance on the level of European leaders, so that this important debate is not carried out exclusively by finance ministers.
Government sources said that the prime minister will seek to coordinate with the countries of the European South in this aim. They noted that none of the countries of the European South and especially Greece are in the same place now as they were during the debt crisis and the existnce of reliable rules that guarantee medium-term fiscal stability are essential for fiscal sustainability.
