This afternoon, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to deliver a victory speech through an assessment of the previous four-year period, and will also present the New Democracy program for the new four-year period.

Also, the prime minister is expected to once again send a message of rallying party forces ahead of the elections, stressing that New Democracy's self-reliance means stability, consistency and stability.

In the new program, which he will present today, Wednesday at 18:00, at the "Hellenic World" Cultural Center, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will describe a Greece with 5 clear priorities.

Priorities related to:

Productive Greece
Socially sensitive Greece

Fair Greece and in
Strong Greece.
Productive Greece

This is the number one priority of the new government planning. It includes everything to do with work, taxation, investment as well as wages and pensions in both the private and public sectors.

Just yesterday, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, referring to the economic program that New Democracy will follow if it secures a second four-year term, emphasized that "we will continue the policy of reducing taxes and increasing incomes".

In particular, he talked about:

"I propose a reduction of employer contributions by at least 1 percentage point. Tax-free increase of 1000 euros for families with children. Whatever applies, plus 1000 euros for each child. Until 2027 to erase the pretense fee. As tax compliance improves."
Regarding indirect taxes, he said that at some point they will start to decrease, "but as long as we ensure that the execution of the budget will not be diverted", the prime minister said.

And he added that at the end of the next four years the minimum wage will be 950 euros.

Socially sensitive Greece

Regarding the goals for a socially sensitive Greece, Mr. Mitsotakis is expected to emphasize health and education issues as well as the modernization of the transportation means.

In particular, as concerns health, he is expected to repeat the goals of the new four-year period, which include, in addition to interventions in hospitals, initiatives for a better quality of life, similar to the existing program of preventive mammograms "Fofi Gennimata". These will concern new programs to prevent cancer, childhood obesity, preventive dental care for children, but also information campaigns on issues that concern adolescent girls.

The prime minister will pledge that more investments will be made in infrastructure, he pointed out that this year's budget for health is 5.2 billion euros, while in 2019 it was 3.8 billion. He will also announce new recruitments.

He will also talk about some actions implemented to strengthen Health Centers, such as the renovation and energy upgrade of 156 units across the country and the upgrade of medical equipment, projects that have been included in the Recovery Fund.

As far as education is concerned, "the goal ofNew Democracy is to make Greece and Greek universities a regional educational center that will attract foreign students," the prime minister will say and will emphasize that the reforms in schools and universities will continue.

Digital and green Greece

The first major goal for New Democracy will be until the end of the four-year period "for the public to become 100% digital and 100% efficient".

With regard to young people and housing policy in particular, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has already committed to doubling the funds for the "My Home" program, which concerns the acquisition of a residence for young people aged 25-39.

It will also refer to the implementation of the institution of social compensation, i.e. utilization of public lands by building modern apartments with private funds.

Fair and Strong Greece

Interventions in the functioning of institutions and the state are also on the prime minister's list of priorities.

Finally, the continuation of the national policy in matters of foreign relations, security and immigration will be prioritys in the new program. The prime minister has already emphasized that the government will not make any concessions on matters of national security and if it fails to secure European funds, it will use national funds to complete the fence along the entire length of the Greek-Turkish border on the Evros.

State MPs on the ballot still pending

After today's presentation of the four-year program, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and New Democracy will now have a unique pending issue on the way to the May 21 elections. This is none other than the State MP ballot which will be presented on the 28th of the month and for which, as he himself said, has been completely finalized in terms of its composition. State MPs are deputies directly proposed by parties that get elected from a list and their number is proportional to the overall votes garnered by the party.
