Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be in China on Friday, November 3, where he will have meetings with the state and political leadership of the country, with the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Chiang and the President of the National People's Assembly Zhao Leji .

At the Prime Minister's side will be the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, who will represent him at the big CIIE trade fair (China International Import Expo) on Sunday, November 5.

As announced, as part of the visit, today, Thursday, November 2, Mr. Staikouras will have a meeting with the Management of the company "Yutong International Holding", which has undertaken the supply of 250 electric buses for the fleets of the transport operators of Athens and Thessaloniki.

Tomorrow Friday, November 3, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport will sign the Greece-China Bilateral Aviation Agreement, which is consistent with the EU-China Horizontal Aviation Agreement and aims to modernize the institutional framework of aviation relations between the two countries.

On Saturday, November 4, Mr. Staikouras will go to Shanghai, where he will attend the official welcome ceremony by the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, Li Qiang, ahead of the 6th International Trade Fair: "China International Import Expo".

Costas Fragogiannis also in China

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Outreach, Costas Fragogiannis, is going to China today, accompanied by the Secretary General of International Economic Relations and Outreach (GDOSE), Myra Myrogiannis.

The first stop of the trip will be Beijing, where Mr. Fragogiannis will welcome the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and accompany him to his official program on Friday, November 3. Afterwards, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and SG Ms Myrogiannis will head to Shanghai, in order to attend the opening of this year's 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), on Sunday, as well as events that will take place at the national pavilion of Greece at the Expo.

Greece participates in the exhibition with a national pavilion based on the themes: industry/construction, shipping, haute gastronomy/Mediterranean diet, tourism, culture, as well as with a sectoral pavilion in the food sector, flanked by representatives of 20 Greek companies. Enterprise Greece is responsible for Greek participation in CIIE.

The objective of the presence of the political leadership of Economic Diplomacy at the Shanghai trade fair is the practical support of Greek business activity in international markets as well as the promotion of bilateral trade relations with China.
