FM Gerapetritis visiting Washington for Greece-US Strategic Dialogue

Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis is travelling to Washington on Thursday for the 5th round of Greece-US Strategic Dialogue, the foreign ministry announced.
On Friday, February 9, Gerapetritis will have a meeting with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the State Department.
After the meeting, they will announce the start of the 5th Greece-US Strategic Dialogue, which will be attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis.
The topics to be covered in the Dialogue include regional developments, defence and security, humanitarian challenges and disaster preparedness, energy and environment, law enforcement and counter-terrorism, trade and investment, as well as the ties between the two peoples.
The two foreign ministers will make joint statements to the press, followed by a ceremony for the signature of Greece's act of accession to the "Artemis Accords", which govern peaceful collaboration in space.
During his stay in Washington, Gerapetritis will address the Wilson Center event "Our Ocean Countdown, Greece 2024: An Ocean of Potential" and participate in a discussion with the US President's Special Envoy on climate, John Kerry.
Finally, Gerapetritis will be an official guest speaker at a Georgetown University event entitled "Challenges and opportunities: The future of Europe, the EU-US relationship, the Middle East and Greece's Role in the global landscape."
