US national arrested on charge of rape

35-year-old woman from the United States has been arrested on the island of Rhodes and charged with raping a 20-year-old woman, also a U.S. national, the police announced on Monday.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday, following a complaint filed by the 20-year-old.
According to sources, the younger woman went to the Ialyssos police station early Sunday morning and reported that she had been assaulted while she was out at a club. She said that the 35-year-old attacked her when she went to the toilet, pushed her against the wall, and sexually abused her.
Police located and arrested the 35-year-old woman, who will be appear before the local prosecutor on a rape charge.
