88th Thessaloniki International Fair off to a strong start
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The 88th Thessaloniki International Fair got off to a strong start, with people flocking to the stands and participating in the varied events programme from the first day. These include the Music Events that begin on Sunday, with a performance by the Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes at 21:30 that visitors to the fair can watch for free, displaying their TIF admission ticket.
A little earlier at 21:00, an impressive Drone Light Show will light up the skies of Thessaloniki, in place of the fireworks display traditionally organised at TIF, with roughly 500 drones carrying an "aerial choreography" for 15 minutes.
Other highlights include CERN's participation at the AKADEMIA tribute in Pavilion 17, which includes a number of interactive activities, Germany's pavilion as the honoured country, the Volkswagen Beetle parade and the Treasure Hunt, with more than 1,000 small and larger gifts for visitors and the food festivals organised by Greek regions at Pavilion 6.
