Elections for PASOK leader going to second round; Androulakis leading according to preliminary count

The first round of elections for leader of PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) concluded at 7:00 pm on Sunday, with few exceptions, with 300,735 members and friends of the party having voted by 8:00 pm.
PASOK's elections committee (EDEKAP) said it would not extend the voting hour, but directed any voting centers with long lines to accept ballots from those present.
There was a total of 928 voting centers, and final results were expected late on Sunday night.
With 48% of votes counted (586 voting centers), results showed Nikos Androulakis leading, with Haris Doukas and Pavlos Geroulanos trying to secure a second round, among the top two contenders. The votes counted so far however did not include a great part of Attica and Thessaloniki.
Results so far from the counting of 48% of votes are as follows, according ot EDEKAP:
Nikos Androulakis, 32.84%
Haris Doukas, 22.73%
Pavlos Geroulanos, 19.49%
Anna Diamantopoulou, 17.48%
Michalis Katrinis, 5.35%
Nadia Giannakopoulou, 2.12%
