Featured Group of anarchists storm Thessaloniki Univ. cafeteria - Slapped and threatened worker

It was just after 1pm on Monday when Georgia Tyrou, owner of the cafeteria at the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University in Zografou, was confronted with an unprovoked, brutal and unimaginable attack inside her own store. It all started when she tried to protect her property from poster vandalism, asking three young men not to stick campaign material on the glass of her cafeteria.

“I did the obvious. I told them calmly that I didn’t want posters on the glass. I didn’t shout at them, I didn’t insult them,” she says, her voice still shaking. What followed left her speechless: “One of them approached me and without a second thought, slapped me hard. They threatened me, they looked at me with hatred. They didn’t respect either that I am a woman or that I am just a worker doing her job.”

The perpetrators, as she described, were three hooded men, aged between 20 and 30. The attack was sudden and perhaps premeditated, according to her, as soon as it was over, the perpetrators disappeared from the scene, leaving her shocked and injured – fortunately only slightly.

“I faced an uninvited attack, a kind of intimidation. And all I asked was for them not to damage my window with posters,” says Mrs. Tyrou, who earlier revealed that when it became known that she was interested in the cafeteria that had been under occupation for the last 14 years, a “group” visited her and warned her that “you should not take the cafeteria.”

In another video from the woman's cellphone, which was made public by ANT1, a young man is seen asking her "what are you doing?" with her telling him "go away", while she explains to him "I'll take it off, you won't stick to me, I'll pay for the store".

Despite the woman's clear request, some of the young men can be heard mocking her, saying: "come on, look how nice it is! Why don't you like it?".

At that point, it seems that the tone rose with the woman telling the young men: "don't touch me", and they responding: "you touch me".

A little later, it became known that the police identified the victim of the attack, with information indicating a student.
