Groom from Trikala drowns at bachelor party on Lefkada beach

Who was the 30-year-old from Trikala
According to trikalavoice.gr, Stefanos was known for his hardworking and loving character, while he came from a well-known family in the city of Trikala.

He was the son of Kostas and Daphne Kemos, well-known businessmen and representatives of the companies FIAT and Alfa Romeo in Trikala. His wedding was scheduled for June 14, while next Saturday he had arranged a large traditional party at a well-known hotel in the area.

The fatal weekend in Lefkada
The 30-year-old was at Kathisma beach in Lefkada with his friends to celebrate his bachelor party. Despite warnings of bad weather, he decided to swim at noon on Sunday (25/5), but the strong currents and waves swept him away. His friends, who did not go into the sea to swim, were horrified to see his body washed up unconscious.

Bathers rushed to the scene to help him, but unfortunately to no avail.

The Coast Guard, the Fire Department and the Emergency Medical Services quickly arrived at the scene and transported Stefanos to the Lefkada hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead.

Deep mourning for Stefanos' family
His future wife was on another island, also at a bachelor party, at the time of the tragedy. Stefanos' loss has plunged his family, friends and the entire local community of Trikala into grief, who cannot believe this tragic development just days before the wedding.
