Thrace: The countdown has begun for the launch of the MICE-1 nanosatellite into space - What will it provide?

Prisma Electronics announced another important step towards establishing Greece on the global map of cutting-edge technologies with the completion of the MICE-1 nanosatellite.
The nanosatellite was designed, developed and manufactured at the company's facilities in Thrace in order to travel into space integrated into a special launch pod which will be sent to SpaceX for a scheduled launch on October 1.
According to the company, which has full responsibility for the design, implementation and operational exploitation of the project, MICE-1 (Maritime Identification & Communication systEm -1), "is the fruit of two years of intensive technological development and incorporates advanced technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, sensors, the Internet of Things and cybersecurity."
MICE-1 is part of the National Microsatellite Program of the Ministry of Digital Governance and is under the supervision of the European Space Agency (ESA). According to the company's management, it is a milestone in the emergence of Thrace as a hub of innovation and high technology.
At the same time, it contributes to the development of resilient infrastructure, the promotion of environmentally friendly navigation and the foundation of a future Greek satellite constellation.
