The impressive estranged wife of Russian mogul Dmitry Rybolovlev was arrested, on Cyprus, after his reports to authorities that she had stolen diamonds that belonged to her daughter.
It was like a scene from a cops and robbers flick at Larnaca airport, where the impressive estranged wife of Russian mogul Dmitry Rybolovlev was arrested, after his reports to authorities that she had stolen diamonds that belonged to her daughter.
As Cypriot media mentioned, events transpired at Larnaca airport. Elena Rimplovleva had arrived in the Cypriot city by private jet and the moment she came out of the plane, she was surprised to see officers approaching and handcuffing her.
Cyprus Police had issued an arrest warrant against her, after the report to police from her estranged husband for stealing a diamond worth $4 million .
The relationship between Dmitry Rybolovlev and his wife Elena, has been choppy at best, finally turning from love to hatred. The estranged couple are involved in a series of legal wranglings, while Ms Rimpolovleva had filed successive lawsuits against her former husband about her rights to mutual property after the divorce.
Dmitry Rimpolovlef is the current owner of Skorpios island, the legendary retreat of Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onasis. The total assets of the Russian tycoon are estimated at nine billion dollars.
