Maria Karystianou's close friend is Economics professor Maria Negreponti-Delivani, who claims that she will have a role as an economic advisor in the new party.
ANT1's main news program spoke with an Economics professor who was an advocate of the return to the drachma and now appears as a close friend of Maria Karystianou, claiming that she will have a role as an economic advisor in the new party.
"Of course, I am not going to run, but, as much as I can, I will help her with finances," said, among other things, Maria Negreponti-Delivani, former rector of the University of Macedonia, who is very close to the "Niki" party.
Previously, in January 2015, at a conference on the economy on the topic of “Debt cancellation and transition to the national currency”, Ms. Negreponti-Delivani said: “The only solution that remains and is available to us is the return to the national currency. Within the Eurozone there is no solution, at least a solution that can effectively serve Greece”.
Speaking to ANT1, she argued: “The losses for the people from the memoranda were significantly greater. The national currency is a tremendously great force, which could have been a leap into the void at that time. What we have suffered is three times worse. A calculation has been made for 2135, when the last Greek man or woman will be born in this country.. Furthermore, it is tragic that, here, every year 40,000 abortions are performed.”
