Balcony collapses in Corinth killing German tourist

A balcony collapsed on Pigassou Street, Corinth on Saturday afternoon, killing a 43-year-old woman of German nationality, a tourist on vacation for Holy Week..
According to police, the woman was walking with her family at around 3:00pm, after dining at a local taverna less than 100 meters from the fatal incident, when a balcony collapsed, causing fatal head injuries. Two children with the family sustained minor injuries.
Five firefighters in two vehicles responded to the scene, removed the unconscious woman, and handed her over to the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAV).
The local police department has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident
