New Cypriot government

The new cabinet of Cyprus was announced by government spokesman Christos Stylianidis, after three ministers were replaced and another shuffled to a new post.
The director of Institute for Neurology and Genetics, Filippos Patsalis has been chosen to head the health ministry, while former health minister (2007-2008) Kostas Kadis will head the ministry of education and culture, while the ministry of transportation and public works will be headed by economist Marios Dimitriadis.
Erstwhile transportation minister Tasos Mitsopoulos has been moved to the leadership of the defense ministry.
Those leaving the government are ministers from the DIKO party, Fotis Fotiou (defense), Kyriakos Kenevezos (education and culture), and Petros Petridis (health). Giorgos Lakkotrypis remains as minister of energy, commerce, industry, and tourism.
As concern the former ministers from DIKO party, president Anastasiadis is slated to make a relevant announcement after the swearing in ceremony fro the new cabinet.
Mr Lakkotrypis is not an issue according to the spokesman, as he has already quit DIKO.
