Express bus line from Piraeus to Acropolis

A new express bus line that connects the port of Piraeus to Syntagma Square and the Acropolis Museum has been launched.
The Organization of Public Transport (OASA) launched the new “X80 line-Piraeus-Acropolis-Syntagma Express” in order to facilitate tourists that arrive with cruise ships at the port of Piraeus to visit the Acropolis and the city center.
The new bus line has as a terminal station Akti Xaveriou in Piraeus, will pass from Piraeus city center, makes one stop at the new Museum of Contemporary Art on Syggrou Avenue at the level of FIX metro station, one near the Acropolis Museum on Dionysiou Aeropagitoy street and then on Syntagma Square.
The 25 kilometer line starts operating today and will run daily from 7 in the morning until 9.30 in the evening. A second bus will also be stand-by if there is increased demand for this route.
Passengers that wish to use this bus line have to purchase a three day tourist ticket.
